VALLEY SPORTS WINTER BASKETBALL LEAGUE

REGISTRATION OPEN for WINTER 2025 Season

LGS Basketball League is open to girls and boys attending K-8th grade. All Teams and Divisions will be organized by grade level: Coed Teams for Kinder and separate Girls and Boys Teams for 1st-8th grade. Each team will have a parent coach who will lead their team in a variety of skill development drills and games that abide by the Santa Clara County Health Guidelines. Games will begin in mid January, and the season will run through mid March with each team playing 8 games. K-3rd grade will practice 20-25 minutes before their scheduled game on Saturdays. Grades 4th-7th will have 1 practice each week. Games & practices are at Fisher Middle School Gymnasium.

Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Please register early to confirm your child’s spot, space is limited. Tentative Divisions & Game Times:

All Teams will be organized into Grade Level Divisions and teams will be formed based on age, grade, and player skill. Specific age divisions will be announced based on sign-ups.

-Coed Teams for Kinder

-Girls' Teams for 1st-8th (1st/2nd, 3rd, 4th/5th, 6th-8th)

-Boys' Teams for 1st-8th (1st/2nd, 3rd, 4th/5th, 6th/7th/8th)

Each team will play 1 game lasting about 40 minutes on Saturdays. This is a rotating schedule, so you may play an 11 am game one week and then a 10 am game the following week. Listed below is the tentative game schedule for the various divisions (Schedule/Divisions may change based on registration numbers). Grades K-2 will play with a drop-down basket and practice 20-25 minutes before scheduled game time. Tentative playing times for the grade levels is below, but this may change based on registration numbers.

Kinder Division: 8:30 am - 10:30 am

1st / 2nd Grade Division: 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

3rd Grade Division: 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

4th/5th Grade Divisions: 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

6th-8th Grade Division: 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Practices for 4th-8th grade TBD:

*Grades K-3 Practice takes place before games on Saturdays
